I am 20 years old and I think most parents have that problem, not just finding time for sex, but finding time for date time too. My solution, I have my friend over so his parents can have some "them time." Also, some other times to have sex: when kids are at school or work, when kids are at band/sports/etc practice, when kids are on their own dates, when you send them to the mall or the movies or even the grocery store. Good luck. You WILL find time. Trust me, when you want it that bad, you will figure out a way.

By time they are teenagers they know that you and your husband have sex (though many kids like to wish/hope their parents are too old and don't still do it). Go into your room, lock the door, you are adults and it is your house. Some parents prefer to be really quiet and hope the kids don't know...don't kid yourself, they know. Some parents are really loud and that is just how it is. They will think what they want regardless of what you do. My teen son had a friend sleep over one night, my husband and I had rented Hostel and weren't going to let the kids watch it until we had (to see if it was too graphic or not - which it was). We watched it in our room, our son and his friend were eating pizza and watching other shows in the family room. When we got up the next morning we were surprised to find out what they thought was going on during all the screaming in our room the night before. As I said, they will believe what they want to believe.

I am looking forward to that day!! I think it will be a lot easier to have a sex life when I am not exhausted from chasing toddlers around the house all day!
The bedroom door has a lock! and as an added bonus, a teenager will most likely be at the movies with their buddies on a Friday night leaving the house totally empty!! ;-)

Great question...
It can be a problem, cuz they WON'T go to bed and I get tired before they do...here are some ideas...
Find good friends you trust and swap kids for sleepovers. You take the kids one Friday nite, they take the kids the next. Kids have fun...and you have a kid free night.
Be creative...is there a weekly activity for the youth at your church? Drop them off and make it your date night.
Learn to be really quiet
Lock up
There's always a new challenge, isn't there????
It goes from no sleep to no time to no privacy..........

I am afraid the only time you have privacy is when they are out of the house. Its fun because you appreciate the "alone" time more. Save up so that you can have weekends away on your own.

Let them stay up later, what does that have to do with what goes on in your bedroom behind closed doors? Or do you think teens don't know what sex is?

have your bedroom upstairs, and theirs downstairs, or vice versa. just make sure you don't have a squeaky bed, or have your bed above/below their bedroom, just don't bang your headboard against their wall
send them to their highschool's social/sporting events, enroll them in community ed classes, or give them the grocery list and cash and make them do the weekly grocery shopping, with a little wiggle room so they can get themselves something if they do a good job, or a percentage of the change - this will teach them to shop on a budget and give you plenty of time.

Tell them they have to be in their room by 10 or 11 at the latest (earlier if it's a school night). They can read or watch TV in their room, but they have to stay in their room. Then you can have some time for you and your hubby.
