For example :
"The new case came to light because one of the twins had an abnormality in sexual development -- ambiguous genitalia -- and was considered a hermaphrodite with both ovarian and testicular tissue. This child is being raised as a girl. The other twin is a boy."
How would a christian raise their child in this case, when it comes to being a girl or boy and love and marriage, being excepted?

This is a very tricky issue. If the parents make the wrong decision, then the child would unknowingly be a homosexual and would go to hell.

I read this same article about the discovery of a third type of twin- semi identical. It was pretty fascinating, huh? :)

I have no idea how I would handle this situation. I guess for the child that had the ambiguous genitalia, I would try to raise them as whatever sex appears to be dominant. But, as I have never been in this situation and know of no one who has, I can't answer concretely.

I just know that these parents have a very difficult road ahead of them and wish them nothing but the best.

As a Christian expecting my first born, if they were a hermaphrodite, ambiguous gender, I would raise them with love. When they got to the age of understanding sexual difference, I would be praying for them and my family that God would lead us. I would have testing done to analyze the reproductive organs.

I knew an actual hermaphrodite. His dad was really christian but really, REALLY loving and understanding because his father chose him as a son but later in life he wanted to be a girl and his dad was still understanding and let him chose as long as he was moral and good.

Even when this kid went through times being with the same gender his dad was still supportive.

if that helps.

The child would be raised with love and nuturing and would probably have tendencies towards being either boyish or girlish. I think I would probably wait until a definite leaning was obvious to do anything surgically for him/her. Marriage would be their business. If they love someone, why not?

They force a choice of sex upon them at birth. There is an actual surgery for this.

WHY do you ask Hypothetical Questions? WITHOUT stating the Source of your supposed facts?

Thanks, RR
