I was involved in an accident, but wasn't the cause of it however I did go to jail for going over the limit of .08. I know I'm an idiot and I'm already facing that side of the consqeuences which I surely deserve. However, my insurance company is getting a copy of my ACCIDENT report so will that involve that the driving had been drinking?

The insurance company will know that you were charged with DUI. Your insurance company can cancel you if they want, or you may be required to carry SR22 insurance for a period not less than three years. Your rates will be high, and since it was an alcohol offense, it will follow you for ten years. Normally, an insurance company is allowed to see three years back on your driver license, but when alcohol comes into play, they can go back ten years, same with employers checking on you. I would guess this incident will cost you overall, with fines, fees, alcohol evaluation and classes if ordered, SR22, and higher insurance rates, somewhere in the area of 10,000dollars.
