I have formula set to multiply (in this instance) number of guest attending and the price per plate. On another sheet, I am keeping track of all expenses involved in the event to stay withhin budget. As RSVPs come in, I update sheet A (which updates the total price). Is there any way to make this transfer to sheet "B" to also update the price there too?

When I cut & Paste the cell with the formula I get "REF" and nothing occurs.

Type =sum(
click the whole column of the other spreadsheet)

This will give you a formula that looks like this

=SUM([Book4]Sheet1!$A:$A)

Make sure you click on the whole column, this way it will add as the rsvp comes in. Do not create totals as this will result in double counting.

Copy the cell, which will just copy the formula, then paste it into the cell in the other sheet. I forgot what this is called, but it has a special name.

If that doesnt work, then i dont know.

Hope that helps.
