my ex girlfriend wanted a cross for her necklace for christmas, I couldn't find just a cross, then she said she could take the cross off a necklace and put it on hers,but it was too late then, now it's been 3 months since she broke up with me, and I've felt bad ever since that I didn't get her one. I saw her in church sunday and noticed she didn't have one still. Today I bought a necklace and am going to send it to her, with a note saying that I'm not expecting it to change the way she looks at me now, but that I just wanted to feel better that I got her one. I know some may think it's foolish of me, but I still care about her and in my heart I thought it was the right thing to do. I just pray that she won't be offended in any way.

Me being a sedative girl, would appreciate a gift from an old boyfriend, especially if it was a cross necklace. Go with your heart. It's not foolish at all. If she thinks it is then she isn't the girl for you.
