Ok well how much do you wanna loose?
I did the caculations and based on your age and weight you need to eat a total of 3100 calories to stay the weigh that your are...
Well, in order to loose one pound you have to get rid of 3500 calories every week which is 500 per day. So basically if you eat only 2600 calories a day you should loose a pound a week. If you wanna lose two its 1000 per day and so on and so forth. Also make sure you excercise three times a week for at least a half an hour.
You are going to have to pay attention to the nutrient on the things you eat so that you dont go over your calorie limit.
Go to www.sparkpeople.com.. its free and they have a free calorie and fat tracker that you can use, I use it too.
Its a good way to track calories on stuff that does have labels like your moms spaghetti lol.
Good Luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

Stay away from foods with fat and high calories is one tip. To eat healthy, stick to foods that have lots of nutrients and vitamins and not so much fat. Fresh fruits and vegetables are good, along with nuts and lean meats for protien. If you are serious about losing weight, you would stay away from pastas, sauces, sweets, starchy foods, and definitely junk food and stick to the fresh vegetables (and some fruits) and lean meats.
And instead of eating 3 normal sized meals a day, eat 6 smaller meals a day. This increases your metabolism so your body burns calories at a higher rate.
As for exercise, you need cardio to burn fat and some strength training to keep muscle. Strength training is very important during dieting because when the body needs more calories, it will want to eat muscle instead of fat, because of its higher nutritional value. So to keep the muscle, you need to strength train.
Don't starve yourself, otherwise your body will go into whats called "starvation mode" and your metabolism will slow down and your body will do its best to hold onto any fat it has because it thinks it has to ration out its reserves. The 6 meals a day thing lets your body know that it is receiving food on a regular basis. Also, make sure you take some type of protien with every meal. With your body losing weight and trying to eat at your muscle tissue instead of your fat, the protein will help you keep the muscle tissue.
On average, if you are dieting correctly, you should expect a 2 lb loss a week. Crash diets may make you lose weight quicker, but it will be in water and muscle instead of fat. You will end up looking sickly and like a junkie if you diet the wrong way.
Diet the right way and not only will you lose the fat, you will look and feel healthier!

Jenny Craig has helped me lose 40 pounds in about four months, but it is expense. 400 dollars to get in the program and about an average of 70 per week for the food, it is higher to state with because you don't yet what you like or don't on the menu. But it works great.
If you can't afford Jenny's program, then any of the other programs that tell you what and how much to eat are good enough.
It is the portions that are the make and break part. The portion you eat should be about size of your outstretched hand and fingers. The meat should be about the size of the inside of your palm. You can eat dessert but it has to be a small portion and be as light as possible and still enjoy it, like a very small cake, like 1 inch across. Once a day!
Beef, lean, chicken no skin and turkey no skin and small proportions.
All the salads you want to eat but no creamy sorts of dressing. Low cal dressing with balsamic or olive oil. Avoid bread and starchy stuff as much as possible. One small piece a meal.
Eat veges and lots of fruit and water. One glass of wine a day or one small beer, and no other alcohol. Email me if you need more instructions or information. My daughter joined at the same time and has lost 30 pounds and looks great.
You can do it!

If you feel like you need to lose weight and diet, I hope this helps:
First and Best Way: Excersize!!!!!!!!!!! You need to excersize atleast 1 hour a day and I would say Running/Jogging is the best way to go about it. But personally, I hate that so I do jumping jacks, skip rope, rollerskate, and run up-and-down my stairs. Any type of rigorous, systematic movement can be considered excersize
Second Way: Reduce your intake of highly saturated fats! Stop eating those artery-clogging french fries, chicken wings, etc. It's okay to eat them once a week but don't pig out on them. If you normally order a Large Fries, then order Medium one next time.
Third Way: Reduce your intake of Meat Products. That way, you save animals and help benefit your health. It's true that meat has protein and iron, but you can get iron supplements and protein from vegeterian food. I'm not saying you should have a vegeterian diet from now on (even tho I am a vegeterian); I'm just saying you should reduce your intake of meat. So if you eat meat everyday, cut it down to three days a week.
Fourth Way: Eat your fruits and vegetables. I eat three fruits and three vegetables everyday and I think that has worked for me pretty well (I'm 100 pounds ..n no I'm not anoerexic (did I spell that right?)) Anyways, urge your parents to buy more fruit and veggies and include them in your dinner. Even if you don't want to eat as many fruits and veggies as I do, you should atleast have two fruits and two veggies in your diet EACH day. There is good vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, water, and other stuff in there that helps you lose weight.
Fifth Way: Water is a natural appetite suppressant, so developing a good water drinking habit can be a long-term aid in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. Doctor F. Batmanghelidj MD, author of "Your Body's Many Cries For Water" says most times your “hunger” is your body asking for water – not food. It's also important to remember that when the body is dehydrated, fat cells get "rubbery" and cannot be easily metabolized. This means that it's harder to lose when you don't drink your water.
Sixth Way: Drink lukewarm water with two table spoons of honey daily (easy way out and fast)
Seventh Way: One-Two table spoons of vinegar (also the easy way out and fast)
Anyways, those were a few options that you can try simultaneously (which is what I recommend) or one-by-one. You take care of urself and good luck with that!

I have been on various diets over the years, and found, after having 4 kids and being long in the tooth, the best one I followed was last year, and still eat this way. It's a low carb, high protein, very little fat diet and drinking at least 2Lt of water a day!
Eating plenty of vegetables, salads and fruits with and in between meals!
Try adding flavors to a salads as well as seafood, tasty but very low in fat!
Also walked for 30 mins a day!

In the last 7 months I've lost 60 pounds. The way I did it was watching calories and fat content. Changing the way you eat is really important. I don't eat fast food, I don't drink sugary pop, I get my pop fix with Diet Rite, its all I'll drink pop wise. Drink lots of water and excercise. Walking is great excersice. I walk at least 3 miles a day in addition to basic walking. If you change your eating habits and commit to an excercise regiment, you will notice a difference. I went from 200 to 140 in a matter of months and it feels really good. Good luck.

It is great that you decided to lose weight, your 50% of work is done when you decide to do something.
1. Eat salad green leaves, cucumber, broccoli etc. before any meal
2. drink 4 glass of water early in the morning. you could start with 1-2 glass of water. you should also drink 2-3 liter of water during daytime.
3. Cut on white flour items- white bread, pasta, rice, sugar etc.You don't have to kill yourself initially. you could cut down these items slowly.
4. work out in a gym 3-5 times a week.
5. Always sleep on time do not stay late as this will ruin your morning schedule.
6. Repeat your goal 10 times early in the morning.
Good luck to you
Good thinking

cut out sugar from your snacks and meals. I used to be overweight until i started playing sports then i lost a ton, also
follow the food pyramid servings a day. If you eat out alot stop and try making your own food. The link should show you some good links. also go to google and type in food pyramid. Insted of drinking soda try drinking water, powerade, or propell. get those little bags at walmart that let you make your own propell and use those. i also munched on sunflower seeds and sun chips instead of potato chips. get baked lays if you still want potato chips. try exercising a little bit before and after school. try bike riding. i also run down to the mailbox and back up. try jumproping to increase your speed
hope my links help. Feel Free to Email Me with problems.

here are some suggestions...
1) cut back on your caloric intake (2,000 to 2,500 is good)
2) eat less than 65 grams of fat daily...better yet, less than 60
3) lots and lots of water. if u don't drink enough water, u'll retain it in ur fat cells (cellulite)
4) exercise...obviously. start out slow and work ur way up as u become fitter. jump-roping, jogging/running, sit-ups, push-ups, but most importantly walking. walk as much as possible. if ur watching tv, get up and change the channel. do sit-ups or squats during commercials.
5) cut back on meat (i'm a vegetarian, so i get all my protein from beans and leafy greens. much better than animal fats. it's a fact that people who consume less meat are slimmer and leaner)
6) make sure u eat lots of dietary fiber...it'll keep u feeling full longer (without the calorie overload). OATMEAL!!!!
7) never skip breakfast. ur metabolism needs that boost in the morning to kick it into gear. make sure it's healthy...no donuts or cocoa puffs or frosted flakes.
8)STICK TO IT!!!!
remember, it's okay to indulge once in a while.
tell ur parents and friends that u want to lose weight. they'll be more supportive. never ever not eat anything, cuz than ur body will hang on to what it already has stored. if u start losing weight too quickly, slow down! u don't want to damage ur body.
best of luck!!!!
