part of the hate, and rage of the American Cittizen to some latinos that doesn't agree with LA RAZA's ideas?
I'd like it to be answered by latinos, to know if they feel this group Represents them: as well as by American, or latino USA Citizen that have feel the hate most due by this kind of ideas, than for the immigration itself.

I do not agree with their tactics,I am a leader, and I march to the beat of my own drum. Two wrongs don't make a right.I beleive it is our responsability as Latinos to educate people (or at least try) about who we are, where we are coming from and our position on certain issues.Maybe if we could make people understand us better, there would be more of a positive attitude regarding us.

most Latinos don't even know what the ideas of the organization called la raza are so i would have to say that nobody can possibly agree with an idea which doesn't even know exist . plus what every Latino understand by la raza is just the Latin raze , so if anyone hear them say viva la raza all they are doing is complimenting their own heritage and who they are and nothing more , being proud of who they are .

Although I don't belong to the National Counsil of La Raza, I sympathize with them because they organize cultural events and defend all latinos, legal and illegal, againsta discrimination and abuses.

Why don't you visit the site, so that you can get a better idea of what is that organization about? www.nclr.org

no...because..all those of Spanish descent are NOT the only ones that are latino...Brazilians are also Latino...

those of Spanish descent are usually considered hispanic..although this name has been a negative and bigotted connotation as white people created that name to generalize latinos as a whole..

La Raza is "la raza unita", "the race united." It's a political action group and all Hispanics (which is the phrase used in my state), are not members of La Raza. You have to accept their political ideals to be a member of La Raza Unita.
