Let me confess this right out: I don't know you.
I exist in utter ignorance of your life, the effects and sum aggregates that gather together in an every changing process that we rather haphazardly call "You".
And even if I physically met you, or through some process of technology were intermediated in some way to begin to know all these bits and pieces that make up you, I still wouldn't REALLY know you.
I'd know only my perceptions of you, my flawed and limited observations of various physical and potentially metaphysical or mystical aggregates that I'd learn to call "You".
But that could be said of anyone, ever, frankly. So where does that leave us?
In ignorance of each other.
Does that mean I hate you? No; I haven't had enough experiences with that sum total of "You-ness" to get there. Does that mean I love you? No; Again, I haven't had enough experiences with that sum total of "You-ness" to get there.
Love, like all things in our rather small view of reality, doesn't come out of nothing. It has an effect that leads to a cause.
Make an effect. Then you'll cause something.
