Working at a Dodge dealer that sells tons of trucks I see the best upgrade as being a full exhaust kit to the large size. The Cold air intake kit is also helpful. These wont give you a kick in the pants power feel, but when it comes to actual working power you will notice a difference.

Go to turbodieselregistry.com
Search out their forums. As for the "buy a Ford", how about yeah if you want an inefficient box of crap that will NOT out torque a Cummins. Keep on strokin' Ford boys.

Cheapest HP Increase is the Banks Bullet programmer. At 299.00 it costs less than most accessories that add HP. Add a cold air intake and a free flow exhaust and you could get another 75-100 HP.
