I DO AGREE!! It is time to bomb Iran. This was a act of war, the same as it was when Iran took over
the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and took
Americans hostage for 444 days and the peanut farmer Carter did nothing!!!!

Something definately does need to be done to end the Iranian regime, but an all-out bombing of the country would be extreme. The government may be corrupt but there are many innocent people in Iran who dislike the leadership and the way in which they run the country. We can't kill all of those innocent people just to see the end of the government. Also, bombing the country could be the spark that brings about an even larger war

Absolutely ! It is time everyone stop playing games with these guys and put a end to all of the nonsense going on. Blair should tell Iran they have 8 hours, take it or leave it !!!

Our grandfathers would have said the same thing. We have to make the radical leaders of the world understand that such acts will not be tolerated or negotiated.

If you or I were to enter a building and take 10 people hostage and say we believe they had offended us and we were going to hold them until we feel ready to do something, A SWAT TEAM WOULD BE CALLED IMMEDIATELY AND IT WOULD BE A LONG DAY !!!!!!!

Well that sounds real easy, but we really should take a look at this logistically. We are engaged on two theatres in the Middle East. Two seperate supply lines and an entrenched enemy (x2) who have absolutely nothing to lose by fighting us.

Where Afghanistan posed a limited threat and we let them get bunkered down, Iraq posed no technical threat but had a reason to fight us (we had just tore through there and bombed them back to the renaissance era).

Iran (who until now has remained relatively quiet), now is suddenly emboldened and very ontward. "why?" I am very leary about going into war right now. I don't buy that our friends the russians were working on weapons technology and simply walked off because Iran refused to pay. No one pays up front. Thats what "war reparations" are all about. By timing, I fear a threat lying in wait while they wait for us to casually walk by ala Iraq and Afghanistan.

iran is getting very bold and arrogant
imprisoning british sailors is definitely not a good idea
currently most of the world is not happy with iran and this will not help the situation
i do not think bombing iran is going to help
i think that a good measure would be to forcefully take over some of iran's offshore oil refineries, with an aircraft carrier in support, and demand a trade-off with the sailors
an unrealistic but very satisfying solution would be to kill every living being within its borders with any form of weaponry available

It's truly a shame we have so many idiots with out backbones in this country.Maybe they should read a little of history.England ,france and Poland along with Russia were blind sided by Hitler's lies and promises. The treaty of WW1 was totally ignored by Hitler and he built himself a Army, air force and Sub fleet. But the Allies keep ed giving into him,so it is with IRAN. Must we be that blind not to see it happening again. How sheepish we have gotten and how wise and bold the enemy has gotten.God help us if they do accrue a Nuclear bomb. I served in the Persain Gulf aboard the USS VALCOUR AVP 55 ,59-61 and believe me ,these people do not like us.
We need to get some BALLS.

It's funny that one person on here said that Iran has nuclear weapons and violence is never the answer. As a Naval Intelligent Specialist I will tell you that Iran does not have nuclear weapons but if we allow them to complete uranium enrichment and nuclear manufacturing they have stated publicly many times that they want to kill everyone in Israel!!!!! And whoever said violence is not the answer is an ignoramus. 9/11 is nothing compared to what will happen if Tony Blair of the U.S. lets Iran get a nuclear bomb. Keep in mind if the Liberals Democrats were running this country back in 1775 when we went to war with the British to get our independence WE would have never went to war. The result would be the United States would be a totally different country today.. You people think if we quit fighting and make peace for a change that those Arabs and Muslims ect... will become our friend???? THEY WILL STAB YOU IN THE BACK AND CUT YOUR HEAD OFF. HISTORICALLY THOSE PEOPLE NEVER WANTED PEACE BUT TO DESTROY ANYONE WHO DOESN'T WORSHIP ALLAH. GROW SOME BACK BONE. IT SEEMS LIKE TODAY'S CIVILIZATION WOULD HAVE US SPEAKING GERMAN IF THEY WERE IN CHARGE BACK IN WWII. I TELL YOU WHAT!!!! KEEP VOTING DEMOCRAT AND WE WILL BE SPEAKING ARAB.

Iran does need to be dealt with but the Britons should take the lead because it is their soldiers. The United States can`t afford to get to deeply involved because we are too far spread out as it is. Besides if we were to bomb them we would get bad press which we can`t afford at the moment because we are currently the most hated country in the world, but if we show restraint it might help with our image, people around the world might not think we are the gun toting cowboys that they do.

Oh well, easier said than done, but so fun to dream of!

Tony Blair is no Margaret Thatcher, sorry to say. But he's been a loyal friend and we'd be glad to help the Brits justifiably kick some "ar$e."

Charles,
Your comment is total bull!So just because our Booties are hostage in Iran,it's our problem then.
Based on your argument 9/11 should have been dealt with by the US as it was an attack on US soil.So I guess we should withdraw our British troops from Iraq/Afghanistan & let the US get on with it then. In order to attack Iran we need a UN Mandate & backing from the security council.Somethings Bush over looked when he invaded Iraq.
