Shoot the damn horse.....even if his/her name is Bo. When I broke my back mountain climbing (falling actually) I went to an orthopedic surgeon. You might give that a try.

If you're bedridden, there's not much you can do. Doing any serious exercising will--literally--kill you in your current state. A broken back takes time to heal properly. It's not like a broken leg or a wrist.

Neither one has all those nerves connecting your brain with the rest of your body.

I would just kick back and relax. And don't worry about how active you are. The important thing, is that you are alive, and you should concentrate on healing yourself properly.
