Is this desperate?

Ok romantically speaking, I am not a desperate person. I am not willing to settle for anything less than yada yada yada. Well there is this guy I am interested in, but just canNOT work up the nerve to talk to. I am sure I'd be able to if we had a class together or something that could break the ice. Anyway, he knows I think he is attractive, that was 4 months ago, is it desperate now if I ask his friend to set us up? We're 17 and I'm pretty sure he is just as shy, if not shy-er, than I am.

Look, you are 17. You aren't looking for anything serious, and that in itself should take away all fears. Approach him nicely at lunch sometime if he is sitting alone, or just say "Hey, what's up?!" when you see him walking to class. Soon enough, he will say hi to you when he sees you. That's when you basically tell him that you would like to go out on a date with him. In my opinion, most guys find that daring of a girl, and VERY attractive. If he says yes, you're in luck. If he says no, you know that you're just 17 and you'll meet better guys. Don't worry okay?

Also, I don't think it's desperate at all. Desperation is defined as something totally different!

No, that's not desperate. That's just part of the "game" sometimes. In the abscense of other means, a go-between is often the best Ice-breaker. Once the ice is broken, then the means by which it was broken is quickly forgotten, a moot subject. Now you're off and running. Good luck!

You have to start somewhere and now is the perfect time go for and have fun sweety!!!!!!!!!!SHY is only a small part of it all and once you get your toes wet it all goes pretty smooth from there it is soo not being desperate so don't try to talk yourself out of it!!
