Thats what they say.
However my grandfather died when he was 98 and I don't think he died from smoking. But maybe if he didn't he would've lived to the century mark.

That has been said, it would equal about 35 days a year for a pack a day smoker, or about 1 year for every 10 you smoke.

But people who quit smoking also tend to eat more and gain weight, and that takes 5-10 years off your life.

They also claim second hand smoke kills 60,000 or more a year, but I've never seen an obituary in any newspaper listing 2nd hand smoke as the cause of death.

I say if you enjoy it, smoke. There is so much toxic air from cars, bad food, high cholesterol and other things out there that can kill you there is no way to avoid them all.

I've heard each cigarrette you smoke takes 7 min off your life. This isnt exact it is just an average of the difference of lifespan of smokers vs. the lifespan of non-smokers and then divide that by the number of cigarrettes the average smoker smokes in their lifetime

Try the possibility of not just 7 minutes, but it can actually take your life. Why bother? If people are dying of lung cancer from second hand smoke, then you know as a smoker your chances of cancer are much higher. Believe me, I see people dying of lung cancer everyday. It is a sad situation, but it is a reality. I just wish that kids today would just say NO.

Yup it sure does & A 50 year study of over thirty thousand physicians showed that nonsmokers lived about 10 more years than the smokers

I have heard that too... I've lost about ten years off my life I guess...

At my last "blow in this tube so we can check your lungs" test, I scored very bad. I have the lungs of a 45 year-old... I'm only 28!!!

:)
Best Wishes...
