he is saying give him a chance, what part of that don't you get? you could enjoy the same with an uneducated man also. and may have more fun in the process . he sounds like he is trying to impress you with his training. education only comes into play when you are thinking about the future and baby rearing and picket fences. if you were having a casual friendship, an education wouldn't matter to you. he is trying paint a picture of a secure future for you while implying you would be free to move on when you wanted. but the eduacted man says he will use the friend angle , hoping you will want the security angle. he thinks he has the gift of the gab.

Jessica sounds to me like he is friend of yours and is trying to be a good one by helping you not rush into anything with anyone...so he is offering his time with you. Have fun!
