The military shouldn't be picky when trying to find healthy, willing and intellegent soldiers.

Now I will ask of the people that have written how many of you have been or are now in the military. Having served for 8 years I don't think by any means that I am right in my opinion, its just a opinion.
I served with honor and pride in my country and in the military that I served in. There are a lot of things in the military that no other job is subjected to. There are alot fo times when you are in very close quaters that sometimes gets very personal, meaning that you have no other choise but to touch. There are times also that you are naked or near naked and you have no other choise but to look at the ceiling or to just stare into space or as some do openly stare. When you have those type of situations you have to be very secure in the fact that the person standing next to you, the person that is pressed up against your back, or crawling over you in a foxhole is doing just that. And lets kick the ballistics if your a average joe what do you think about when a good looking girl that your attracted to passes by, do you look or do you turn the other way. What if she pressed her body against yours un knowingly do you have a reaction. Well if you don't your better than most. I am not saying that people can't and shouldn't control their urges, but that is still why in training enviroment you seprate men from women because of the distractions. I am just being real and we all should. I don't have anything to say about one sexuality that is your business. Just be real and see both sides. Your right being gay doesn't affect your patriotism or your pride. Just wanted you to see the other side of that coin. I won't ask and you shouldn't tell.

Don't kiss and tell is for the safety of the gay person.
There are a lot of gays in the military and kicking them out is the only way to protect them at this time. Can you imagine that your fox hole buddy is gay and has a rise in his levi's.
Gays has always been in the military since man picked up rocks as weapons. I known a lot male and female gays and as for the men I am uncomfortable.

I will say this Gay Life style is anti to military cohesion and more importantly in the BIBLE. So I say no openly serving Gay's in the military. Let ask you this can you do your job being under the impression the guy or girl next you is molesting you in there thoughts every time they accidentally bump into is it accident or a cheap feel. In the military people are asked to things that maybe ambiguous sit behind your buddy and hold'em tight we are in for rough ride. the person behind you is openly GAY and now you are distracted because you are wondering what is this person doing or not and now we get hurt. Not worth it I tell you just not worth it.

I am sorry that some liberal educator is striving to shove their own agenda down your throat. That said...
If you support it then say so...if you do not...stand up and tell them that you cannot lie and will not write a false argument.
Write why you cannot support it. The truth is always the best policy. You won't get a good grade but then you can take it to the administration and do what the liberals always do...WHINE!!!!

I think there should be whole brigades of just gay men: like in ancient Sparta (and you've all seen "300", right?) when each hoplite would fight alongside his lover, seeking death or glory together. A simple syllogism derived from the film:
The Americans are the Spartans.
The Spartans were all gay.
Therefore, the Americans are all gay.

Don't Ask/ Don't Tell, just do your job to the best of your ability. A thought: It is very easy to tell who is gay and who is lesbian and who is straight if someone wants to communicate that, without it coming out of one's mouth. Why the need to be vocal about something that has nothing to do with the obligation of being a soldier?

In that case - do you volunteer to take showers with lesbian and male heterosexual soldiers?
What will happen to recruiting? What will happen to re-enlistments?
Or are you just another one of those people who support gays in the military but would never join yourself?

I remember that Philip of Macedonia (Alexander the Great's Daddy) once fought against... I think the battle was against the Athenians...but I can't remember... Anyhow, one group of soldiers opposing him fought to the last man against overwhelming odds ... They all died in place...not a single man retreated... Philip marvelled at their bravery and was stunned to learn that they had all been gay guys... I read about that twenty years ago and don't remember the source except that it was in class I had about Greek history... It would make a nice piece of support for your paper if you can find it...I don't have the time or ambition to search myself.

For what class do you have to write a paper in support of it? Why not for or against it I wonder.
Anyways, I don't have any problems with what GEN Pace said the other week. It doesn't look as though the policy is going to change anytime soon.

Von Steuben gay? Where'd you come up with that disinformation?
Is that like the "General Washington grew his own hemp" marijuana propaganda from a few years ago?
