As a Christian, I would like to know what other people on here think about the extreme labelling and judging of Christians (such as calling them "ignorant" or "judgmental"). But Islam, a religion which praises violent attacks on non-Muslims is always defended and declared a religion of peace. Why do you think this is. Besides when people call Christians "judgemental" they are "judging" Christians. sounds pretty hypocritical to me.

This is exactly my point. All of you are judging Christianity. When Christians judge other religions this way, we get roasted for it. Way to go hypocrites.

it is. but christianity is the truth and people hate the truth and will choose evil insted. just like when the jews in the bible had a choice to let Jesus go free, or a murderer who committed many crimes. they chose the murderer and to have jesus crucified instead, because their hearts were evil and they didnt want the truth, which is how it is especially today.

Why is anyone judging religions? Why are Christians judging Muslims, or Muslims judging Christians?

Saying that someone is judgemental is an observation, not a judgement. Calling a thief a thief is not judgemental. It is when someone makes an observation, and then pronounces some punishment or consequence for that observation that it becomes judgemental. Judgement is deciding what action should be, or will be taken, as the consequence of behavior. Since the philosophy of Christianity is that God is the judge, and no one else, then proclaiming that Islam is this or that, or should be this or that, or will have this or that done to them, is outside of the limitations of their own scriptural injunctions against judgement of others. "Judge not, lest you be judged".

If we are to follow the teachings of Jesus, then why are you judging others yourself? You mention this group of people and that bunch of religious folk but never touched on Christians judging other religions. Believe it or not, even Christians are guilty of judging falsely. I know because I have done it a few times myself... today!
Jesus taught that we should be glad when others persecute and talk down about Christians. We are promised a great reward for having to suffer through it. Does it make it any easier? Of course not. But it is something that we need to learn to do regularly.
I am a Christian man and a minister of the Word. I am going through a learning process and it involves a great deal of self examination. Being judgemental is one thing I am starting to overcome but it comes with a price.
The question you have to ask yourself is, what price are you willing to pay for the deeper understanding of God?

Neither Christianity or Islam are religions of peace. History is the proof there.

Christianity has more than it's fair share of violent attacks, you know.

People need to separate the individuals from whatever faith they profess. There are good and bad people in both.

As far as non christians judging, well it's not our rule now, is it?

the answer is simple. Muslims don't proselytize as much as Christians do. Christians are often very condescending and aggressive while selling their god. and tho Muslims do advertise here it's sure not as much as the Christians.

PS. i'm not judging your religion to be any more or less valid than Islam. i'm stating that it's been my observation that Christians preach here more than the Muslims do and therefore are open to more negative comment than are the Muslims. BTW ... the Muslims that do post here get slammed as often as any Christian, often by Christians.

Actually, yes. Christianity itself isn't judgmental. It's just a relatively small bunch of self-righteous nay-sayer christians that are judgmental. They are your problem, so you sort them out please. Until you can rein them in, we will continue to paint you with their brush.

I do not defend Islam so your assertion that Islam is always defended is false.

As to your additional point, yes I am judging christianity! When someone judges me, I judge them in return! You are judging us for judging you! That is not just ordinary hypocrisy, it is a whole new level of sarcastic hypocrisy you are displaying!

I NEVER get judged by muslims, hindus, buddhists, or people from ANY other religion than christianity. Can you really not see what the problem is here?

Let's face it. Anti-Christianity is the last acceptable bigotry. Anti-Catholicism - even more so.

Jesus said since the world hated him, it will hate those who follow him.

So it's to be expected. Even embraced! We are purified by trial as gold refined in the fire.

God says its okay to beat a slave as long as he gets up after 3 days. Otherwise you have to pay 3 sheckels. Sounds like a peaceful religion to me.
