I think that subconsciously women may find men with girlfriends more appealing. The only reason I think this is because i have never had more chances to hook up with girls than when I had a girfriend, or was dating someone. Its like the girls can smell it on me or something. Do girls just think "Well at least someone can stand him, he must be a good guy" or does a guy with a girlfriend just act different? Guys: does this happen to you too?

Yes and no. Girls are VERY competitive creatures. Basically, "hooking up" with a guy who has a girlfriend tells the girl that she is better than the girlfriend cuz she got you to cheat.
Also, just like men, women are afraid of rejection and IF she TRYS to hook up with a guy who has a girl and he says no...
then she can just blame the fact that he has a girlfriend...
he didnt reject her personally.......he just rejects anyone who isnt the girlfriend.

I personally do not find a men attractive if he has a girlfriend. I stay clear. I also think the age group has something to do with this topic and maturity levels.

I don't find "taken" men more attractive at all, but I have always heard this from all my male friends.
I think maybe it has to do with a taken guy stressing out because you feel guilty when someone flirts with you.

and they arent ashamed.
some women like you said do it subcontiously
and arent proud of it.
some women know it
and arent proud.
and some women know not to mess up a relationship
and stay out of the way of a man in a relationship.
but lots of women subcontiously fall fer taken men.

I find men with girlfriends to be "unavailable" and don't give it any more thought.
Any guy who could be lured away from his current gf or would cheat on her isn't worth having....so why waste the time?

I find them less attractive - I don't check out guys I know are not available. I want someone that I know can be with me and not because he's cheating on someone or dumping someone. Karma is something I don't mess with.

We all notice the man who treats his woman like queen! Sure we wish ours would do the same, but thats probably not whats going on here. typically people in relationships are more comfortable with life. More at ease, and in some cases more confident and happier...that's what gets you noticed.

I dont date men with girlfriends. If I became his girlfriend then he would just start dating someone new, while I am with him.

maybe because you say things like "i got my gf roses" or "i took my gf to a fancy dinner" that girls get attracted to you because every girl wants that, but i dont believe its subconscious, its very conscious in fact
