It's probably just stomach acids. Did you look at your throat? If you have small white specks, take them off, they cause bad breath and strange tastes in the mouth.

there are many things that can cause this. i have heard people saying they have had a 'metallic' taste in their mouth but i cant think of what the diagnosis is. however, if you have a dry mouth, this can increase the problem of 'bad breath'. acid reflux from the stomach may cause this taste, so i would recommend going to the dentist firstly to ensure the it is not anyhting to do with your teeth, such as tooth decay or easly signs of gum disease. if you are still none the wiser, visit your doctor, and if further treatment is needed, find a ENT specialist. acid reflux can easily be treated with a course of tablets which help it from returning, and may treat the problem. Sinusitus and and other problems lke tonsil stones can make you feel lke you have something stuck in throat constantly, and yes, this cna cause bad breath so i would definately recommend sorting out this problem. if you leave it, the chance of it going away naturally is unlikely and it may become evn worse, so get it solved before this happens. hope it gets better x

Hi, maybe you have some bacteria accumulated in the back of your throat. I used to work in the medical field, and this one will surely work. Mix equal part of water and hydrogen peroxide ( you can buy it in any grocery store) and swish around the mouth for at least 1 minute and also gargle with it. Do this for a few times a day. Hydrogen peroxide is a known antiseptic, aids in the removal of phlegm, mucus, and it will also whiten your teeth.
If you have a metal taste in you mouth could be linked to amalgam fillings, but if you have like a vomity taste I would think it's because of bacteria. Please try and let me know, I am absolutely sure it will work.

You might have an infection in your mouth/tooth. If it drains in your mouth, you get an awful taste...and it does smell. I'd check with a dentist.

it sounds like a sinus infection. is it like licking envelopes taste?
See your dentist, it may be an infection from your gum or tooth.
Could you be pregnant- that def gives you a metallic taste in mouth and also makes you sick - or an absess as the poison goes right through your system.
Shame - hope your better soon

could be a change in your diet. Your body could be going into ketosis (sp?) where your body starts to eat itself and other organs, this only happens if your not eating. It creates a fowl smell. u should go to the dr if it persist just incase its serious or at least call a dr's office

I would pay your doctor a visit as there could be some underlying cause for the coppery taste. Nothing sinister!

try eating garlic. or going on very limited diet. Perhaps you have a problem with your teeth or gums. Go see your dentist.
If not then it sounds like could be a stomach problem. see doctor, possible ulcer development
