Just wondering because it's been almost 80F around here the last couple of days and my temp is a little higher than normal. Not feverish, just higher.

That's only true of cold-blooded animals. The term "cold-blooded" is really a misnomer. They can't thermoregulate, so they depend on the ability to get in and out of the sun to change their body temperature. Warm-blooded animals, which is all birds and mammals, have mechanisms that preserve or dissipate heat, in order to maintain a more or less constant internal temperature. Our internal temperature varies throughout the day by a bit. There is actually a range of normal, not an exact value for normal temperature. Most people hang out in the range of about 98.2 to 98.8, but it's not officially considered a fever until you reach 100.5F. Also, after exercise, your temperature goes up by about 0.5F and stays there awhile. This is thought to help maintain sweating and so-called vasodilation, in order to dissipate heat.

our body is thermoregulated, so is able to turn on the internal air conditioning system, to maintain body temperature at a relatively constant temperature despite variations in external atomospheric temperature. So unless your thermoregulation system is not operating correctly then your temperature wont rise significantly. A possible problem would be inability to sweat.

depends on how much higher, if it doesnt hit 100 i wouldnt worry about it, also depends on diet, exercise, and emotional state (although these only vary it between a couple of degrees, anything 100 or over is something to be potentially concerned with). our bodies should stay generally around 98.6 degree farenheit though, give or take a degree.

Your temp. could rise if you were outside working or exercising but I havn't heard about temp. rising and your own temp rising. hmm. i guess it could happen if you are out there too long, I don't see why not.
