LOL that is a good question ......In my experience it depends on the man and the situation making love means that love must exist......but some men think making love is just slow sex when in reality sometimes it can be fun and rough and still be considered making love......

Since making love involves having sex (heh) then they will never stop having sex. (again heh)
But maybe you want it to be more of an expression of real love and less the manly urge.
In that case, initiate the love-making and give that special someone a taste of your love first. Then perhaps he will be more conscious of the romantic aspects of sex - enough to satisfy your romantic desires.
Maybe it just takes the right person.

Depending on the particular relationship, its quite possible the two distinctly different acts don't exclude one another!

To be clear, this is how I'm viewing your terms:

Sex: An animalistic and 'heat of the moment' form of coitus. 'This is all about us having sex and enjoying it.'

Making Love: A more seductive and tender form of coitus. 'This is all about you and me showing you how much we enjoy each other'.

I'd go as far to say that a healthy relationship moderates between both forms of coitus. Sometimes you want to 'get it on', usually right then, and right there.

And sometimes you just want to experience another person sexually, and make them 'feel good'.

But its equally likely that some couples prefer 'having sex' over 'making love' to boot, without any lessening of their overall relationship.

So in answer to your overall question? Men hardly ever stop having sex; But when they meet someone they care about, they do start to make love as WELL. :)

The answer- when they're actually in love. Now let's be clear on this.. most women have a different concept of what "love making" is compared to men- it's slow, passionate, blah blah blah... The man that i'm in love with, he and i have very rough and sometimes hard core sex, but if you ask him about it he considers it making love- why? because he's in love with me, and i would have to agree with him.

There is ALWAYS a time and a place for straight sex - making love comes when they find someone the actually are in love with and want to spend time doing foreplay and cuddle after.

At the least when they are married. Because if you are not married you are only having sex or making sin...you are not making love. I know I'm probably gonna get a bunch of thumbs down but it's true. We learned this at Youth Group. And for all you people who are going to thumbs down me, think of this{{Just because I have a lot of morals and I am a good Christian girl and I have a difference in opinion than you doesn't mean that I'm wrong. I am saying what I honestly believe..}}

When they fall in love. When you are in a relationship the sex does not take on that level until emotions are there. It when you want to give as much as receive.

Many can switch gears easily...as can women...it depends on who they are with and what the situation is.

I hope I never stop having sex...but making love is also awesome...why not do both?

when they feel like you have more then just a sexual connection...same thing goes for women as well. i don't know why everyone thinks all men are the same when it comes to relationships..women can have the same feelings as the guys do when it comes to sex.
