It just bugs me when people spell things wrong. HELLO check spelling!!!!!!!!!!!

I am mostly talking about yahoo answers and that's more grammar than spelling.

What's really funny is the fact that most of the people who responded with vehemence about others who are unwilling to learn had one or (usually) more errors in their responses! Does that make them all "morons"? Let's face it, many mispellings are probably typo's that the writer didn't notice, not mispellings due to ignorance or stupidity. Spell check only works to correct a mispelled word, not the wrong word or missing words. One needs to actually read what one has written (preview) and be one's own proof reader.
e.g. "I" which should have been "I am" or "I'm" in the additions to the thread opener.
"that" instead of "than" in the first answer.
"that" instead of "that they" in the fourth answer.
...and on and on in almost every answer in this thread - especially the negative ones!
Like a wise one said "Chill out!"

That does bother me too, like when I correct my friend, she gets all mad. Its just a habit. And I know its not her fault that she cant spell. and earlier today, she said that she was in the spelling bee 3 years in a row. In elementary school! Come on! Those words were so easy! Earlier, she misspelled losers. she spelled it loosers. How hard is that........

Lots of words are difficult to spell,and if you think you've spelled them correctly,then your hardly going to use the spell checker. I do agree though,that some mis-spelling of basic words is pathetic.What annoys me more,is the lazy writers,those who use text language.

It's proof that you can lead a human to education, but more likely than not they will talk about Pokemon or Cinderella instead of learning. Face it, most people are morons because they can't be bothered to expend the intellectual effort to learn.

I know how you feel...it bugs me too. The same way with not paying attention...teachers pay more attention to them that the ones who actually want to be at school.

The point is that they had the opportunity to learn. The fact that didn't take advantage of it, or are too lazy to care, is their own shortcoming.
