try to confirm this is true, before anything. things can quickly be misunderstood. you might want to find a way in telling him what the friend said. Relationships depend on trust. So, if you hide a concern like this one, this will have eventually some negative effect on your relation.

Do you trust your friends more than your boyfriend? Vice-versa? Consider who has been more trustworthy, but also hear both of their stories, and then make a decision. If your boyfriend has been 'cheating' then you can dump him, and if this was so, he may seize the opporotunity to go out with the other girl. You're friends may just be jealous. There are many possibilities, and I suggest that you first listen to both of them, and then make a decision that you feel is right.

You should first determine your friend's motivation for telling you this.Sometimes friends make up stuff out of jealousy or they heard something from somebody else and just want to gossip.
If you believe your friend is trustworthy and is telling you the truth to protect your feelings and is not afraid to tell the boyfriend what she witnessed, then I would confront the boyfriend about what you heard and see what he says.
If he is stumbling on his words or gives a rude response then I would let him go.
If he denies any fowl play, and you believe him - hang in there, but monitor his behavior from now on.

I would find out from him what is really going on... do any of your friends have a reason to lie to you about this? Do you not have enough trust in him to believe that he wouldn't do that sort of thing? Ask him what's up, let him say his peice and tell him that if you ever hear anything like this again about him, it's splitsville.

NO. not unless you have proof, and even then, holding hands? i personally have alot of guy friends, boys are just like that, I hold hands with alot of them even though they have girlfriends, maybe they were just friends? i dont think its cheating, at all, but if you do, at least get proof!

yes because it starts out as just holding hands then it leads to something else like a kiss. so i think you should end it now before you really get your feelings hurt

...nah!!!...he might have accidentally been with his mother or his sister here possibly! I say don't do anything until you have your confirmation on who the individuals were really! Many a relationship has been broken up by mistaken identity otherwise...wouldn't you agree?

No...... just put on a smile and pretend like nothing happened. Just keep telling yourself that nothing happened, that NOTHING HAPPENED.
Don't worry about it Jane, you'll forget about it or learn to live with it in due time.
