Can start at 2, but usually 3 or 4. They normally are only for 2.5 or 3 hours.

A child usually starts Prek at the age of four. There are some preschools that have half a days or a full day of 6 to 8 hours, depending on what you want.

I put my son in a part day pre-k program because he was asking to go to school. He was 2 and a half. The day was only 3 hours and parents were allowed to stay as long as they or the child wanted to. He loved it.
