How have I done this? Or rather how do I get it back along the bottom again? I've tried the Control Panel section on 'Appearance and Themes', then 'Taskbar and Start Menu' but it doesn't cover it. What can I do? I can't leave it there, it's horrible and really impractical. Help me please someone!! Ta. xxx

You can drag and drop it on either side, the top or the bottom. Right click on the tasklbar and uncheck "Lock taskbar" move it back down the bottom and re-check lock taskbar and it should stay put.

Right click on the taskbar and make sure "Lock the Taskbar" isn't selected - if it is de-select it.
Now click one the taskbar and drag the mouse to the bottom of the screen. (you can also move to top if you prefer).
To stop yourself from accidentally moving it again, right click on the taskbar and select "Lock the Taskbar"

Right click on taskbar.
Uncheck lock taskbar(if it's checked)
Drag it to any side of your desktop.
If you want to keep it for long time, right click taskbar-check lock taskbar.

You can simply click in an area on the task bar not occupied and drag the bar back down. You can move it to the top, bottom, left or right.

just a suggestion, try clicking and holding it, then drag it to the bottom then unclick.
people do things like this on the pc at work and it's annoying. i think it depends on which operating system you use.
hope it works, if not i hope someone can tell you better.

Just click on it hold and drag it to the bottom again.
Then right click on it and tick "lock toolbar"

I think that maybe you can right clicked youre mouse then go to proerties.That should make you menu choice appear .Then you can chane it back to default.I hop anyway.
