I have a Sony Cyber Shot Digital Camera with 7.2 megapixels. I use a Lexar (1GB and 2 GB) Memory Stick PRO Duo memory card. I recently spent a lot of time in France and when I went to dump my pictures off on to my computer it said it did not recognize the file type. When I look at the pictures directly from my memory card they just show the Photo Impression icon and if I click on them they say something is wrong with the file. I can see the pictures on my camera. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WRONG!!! Is there a way to get these pictures??? Or maybe a place that could do it for me??? I normally get my pictures dumped off on cds at Walgreens and I took this memory card in, along with a few others and they only dumped off some of them. Two full memory cards (one 1GB and one 2GB) would not work! PLEASE HELP!!! I'm DESPERATE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANY advice would be AMAZING! I'm SOOOO stressed out...

Okay! Calm down...... call Lexar, then your camera company, then your computer company. If one person won't help, keep calling back to get another person.

When you are dumping the images off on your computer, are you using the image software that came with the camera?
With my camera I have to unload pictures in the Olympus editor first, change the file extention and size and then save them to hard drive to use in photoshop.

Try Best Buy. The Geek Squad can help you with anything. Places like walmart or walgreens have the digital photo stands but they place limits on how many photos you can upload because it will bog down their system.

Try opening the pictures with internet explorer. Right Click on the pic, click 'open with' & from the list select Internet Explorer. Wouldn't be a bad idea to run a virus scan on your computer either.
