Yes, it is possible. Some people are carriers of staph organisms, which include Staphylococcus epidermidis and even Staphylococcus aureus--such organisms are commonplace (or normal flora, as what some people call them) in our skin and our nasal cavitis as well.

You most certainly can. Roughly 25% of the human population has Staphylococcus aureus in their nasal passages, and if you have even the tiniest cut on your hand and you run it across your nose, you can transmit the bacteria directly into your own body. You would develop a Staph. infection and need antibiotics.
