I'm not certain what my schedule will be, but if at all possible I will be here! I posted the entire article in "You won't forget him will you?", this is the ending:
On April 29, Delaware Park, the site of Barbaro's first race, will host Barbaro Day. It will be dedicated to the 2006 Kentucky Derby champ and will also feature a race called the Fans of Barbaro. Brown says Tampa Bay Downs, Hollywood Park and Lone Star Park will also pay tribute to Barbaro on April 29, which happens to be his birthday.

So far, over 500 FOBs have promised to show up at Delaware Park, from as far away as South Africa. It will be the first time that the special group will have met on a large scale.

"People are going to fly in from all over. It is going to be a terrific event," said Brown. "It just shows what a compassionate group of people can do when they want something. The FOBs goals are to keep a persistent focus on horse welfare issues. It's a good thing."

Overwhelmed, this is a celebration of Barbaro's life. Personally I think it's a great idea for all his fans to celebrate.

I just thought this was a great way to show support. You know the Jacksons will be there, they live so close to Del Park. I think everyone involved in Barbaro's care from the NBC will be on hand (that is not on duty that day). It's a way to say thanks for sharing Barbaro with us, we loved him too. Thanks for the care and love you showed him.

I think that's great. Pimlico named a stakes after him as well, which is either a nice tribute or a little morbid, considering what happened there.

It is sad that a horse of this magnatude died under these conditions. But you have to remember that it was not anyones fault that this happened. The states racing commisions do a good job at looking after a race-horses welfare.

I can't waste my time with the death of a horse. I have been at tracks where horses broke down and were put down on the track. It was a sad situation, to be sure, but not something I dwell on.

We feel bad enough of the memory of that beautiful animal getting hurt. I'd like to heal and stay healed. He's in a better place, and I dont want to keep dredging up the bad images.
Let it go.
