Put yourself on the Federal No Call List and the one in your state if available. It will pretty much put an end to the unsolicited phone calls.

Yup, I now have fun with them when they call and it is amazing that I am getting fewer calls all the time.

I tell them that I have excess loans and such and a bankrupcy in my past and need to consolidate about 700-800K in loans.

they usually say they can not handle that much and stop calling.

Either tell them to put you on their Do-Not-Call list or register with the National Do-Not-Call Registry. If they do not abide, meaning they call you, you can sue them for $500 each call after their first "mistake" call. I am currently in the process of suing Chase Bank for $3,000 for 6 additional calls after I told them to stop.

Buy a cellphone. Disconnect your land line. Join the national Do Not Call registry. That's all there is to it. I get ZERO solicitation calls anymore.
