I know there is a VAS for pain but I understand there is one for thermal comfort too. When I look up Mann-Whitney it comes up with a load of algebra I don't understand - totally wasted on me I'm afraid. Can you tell me where to find a visual analogue score for patient warmth please? Thanks.

Mann-Whitney is a non-parametric T-test, which means it can be used to check for differences between two sets of data gathered using techniques like a VAS.

I believe the thermal VAS scale you are looking for is the ASHRAE 7-point scale, 1 being hot, 7 being cold.
