I've seen one on ebay that I really like, but it's two sizes too small.

No. Two sizes is a lot by ring standards. If you find a jeweler who will actually attempt the sizing, you will not be happy with the results.

The smarter choice would be to get a photo of the ring detail and bring it to a jeweler to copy.

My wedding ring is 31 years old. It began to get a bit tight about 5 years ago and I thought I wouldn't be able to get anything done with it. However, I took it to the local jeweller (not a high street store) and asked for advice. He had their goldsmith have a look at it and he made the ring a size bigger - it's very patterned - and you wouldn't have any idea that something had been done with it. Ask for advice at the smaller, more specialist, jewellers. I think I paid about £40. The ring was only £32 all those years ago!

the pattern would get damaged on the ring , thay can add a bit of gold onto it put the pattern would stop and start again were the new piece of gold was added , your best bet is to try find a different one .

I think most of the time they just splice additional metal into the ring; I know that's what they did for my fiance's. I don't know what you'd do with a patterned ring (except add metal at the bottom where people wouldn't see)

Not without damaging the pattern.

NO, it will cost you 5x as much to have it made bigger. they can't stretch it because they just take a hammer and tap it out bigger on silver jewelry. For gold they have to cut it and add the gold in- can't stretch it because it will fall apart.

It can distort the pattern quite badly.

you may be able to but it depends on the pattern and how much it has to be stretched by.
