I had my dog on Nutro Natural Choice, but for like the last two or 3 weeks he wont touch it unless he's absolutely starving. Today I bought him Chicken Soup for the Puppy's Soul and he loves it, but is there even a point in mixing it when he just eats the Chicken Soup?

Most dogs are fine on abrupt changes (has your dog ever eaten a strange object like a sock before? was he fine? then I wouldn't worry at all) He will be fine in the long run, seriously. The worst thing that could happen is you upset his stomach and he has diahhrea. But if he's not even eating one, do you really need to mix it?

Some dogs might be ok with just a sudden change of dog food, but it's reccommended to mix the food for a few days because most dogs will get an upset stomach. Their stomachs usually need a bit of time to adjust to the new food.

Your dog may get diarrhea or he may become really gassy for a few days.

If he's already been introduced to the new food and has had no problems with it, I wouldn't worry about it too much. We changed my dog from puppy food to adult dog food overnight and he was fine.

nothing will happen unless your dogs stomach is just wierd because my dog doesnt like the same dog food over and over agian so we always buy a different kind when it runs out.We have had no problems with my dog and changing the dog food. Also i might mix in some left overs with her dog food. maby you should try what i do and you will see your dog enjoying its food again.

Yikes, when I change my dog's food she gets diarrhea and vomits unless I slowly mix the food in until she's used to it.
