Every one hates them because they alwayz see the yapper side of them but they are so cute they like to protect their owners and they dont shed and omg people hate them<33

Yorkies are so cute even the boy ones look sweet I had one for about 15yrs they are game little dogs but they can be a little snappy with strangers But if you where as small as them and someone 100's of time your size came up to you wouldn't you be a little snappy to they just get a little frightened of people and snap out of fear but they will love you forever and are very protective of you. love cuddles,laps,and your bed.

I think yorkies are totally cute! They are small and easy to take around with you almost anywhere I suppose! I think they get a bad rap because they are seen as one of those "foofoo" dogs. You see them on tv being carried around in "dog purses" with those "foofoo" girls and being bought clothing and such. Dogs are dogs, not meant to be dressed up like people (in my opinion.) lol.. A little bow is okay, but an entire ensemble is a bit much. When I was looking for a dog, I wanted a yorkie because they are so adorable and seem like a good dog as a companion. I have three young boys though, and felt that they might be a bit too rambunctious for the lil thing, so got a little bit larger dog that might handle the occasional rough-housing that goes along with boys. I think if you're a girlie girl or an older person that has the time to really care for a dog, and there aren't hyper kids around, a yorkie is a good choice. I think people forget when they buy a dog because "it's cute," that they actually have to care for it which means feeding it, walking it, brushing it, taking it to the vet for check ups and shots, bathing it, etc. It's not like it's gonna do that all itself. It takes work and money... but dogs are so awesome and the best companion. Who else would wag their tail like crazy and no matter what time it is get so extremely excited when you come home? They're the best!! :-)

I have two AKC registered Yorkshire Terriers. They are both older (10-11 years) and are no longer the yappy little pups they once were. I admit my youngest yorkie, a girl, was the yappiest, and still yapps when strangers come to visit, but that is just how they are. I think that people think yorkies are yappy dogs because the dogs are not familiar with the person, and therefore bark alot. Once you get to know the yorkie, he or she does not bark nearly as much. And if the person has a problem with your yorkie pup barking, tell them to get a life because the dog is yours and it doesn't bother you at all.

I used to have one and loved her, though her yapping would get old sometimes. But she was very loving and protective of all of us kids in the house. Also, Yorkies are great cuddlers and when you have a bad day are so cute and sweet that you have to smile.
I loved mine and would willingly put up with more yapping at the strangers coming to door, to get another one.
My vote is Love em!

Depends on the dog, really. Some are nasty (some idiots think their dog is too small to train) but a a whole, yorkies are good dogs.

I have a yorkie and she does not bite nor she does not bark AT ALL! All yorkies have different personalties, people may have serious situations with one yorkie but that doesnt mean all yorkies do that... It bugs me when people say that.........!

I HAVE A 2 YEAR OLD FEMALE YORKIE, SHE WAS BROUGHT UP WITH TONS OF ATTENTION AND LOTS OF TLC. SHE VERY RARELY EVER BARKS. VERY SWEET NATURED. OUR SON HAS ASTHMA AND HE NEVER HAS AN ATTACK WITH HER BEING IN THE HOUSE OR ON HIS LAP. I HOPE THIS HELPS REASSURE THE PUBLICS KNOWLEGE OF SMALL DOGS.

I do not hate them but I would never spend money on a puppy. I would consider rescuing one though.

I like them but they are too expensive that was supposed to be my first dog but my pomeranian replaced it now I just have 2 chihuahua's.

not really i like my shih tzu, very quiet and cute not a huge yorkie fan, kind of think they look greasy
