Having just read the question, I decided to go and try one. It was surprisingly nice!

I think, "Better him than me."
Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are great. I suppose the cheese thing could work if it was the right cheese, but for the life of me, I can't imagine what that would be.

I have a friend who loves Peanut butter, cheese, and banana sandwiches cooked like grilled cheese. I have to say, I tried it and didn't hate it.

I think a Mascarpone and banana sandwich or cream cheese and banana sandwich wouldn't so terrible.

Maybe it's a guy thing. I have a male friend who likes cheese & banana on toast. Very weird.

Cheese & bananna combo is great. You have to make sure that the cheese is a really fresh Cheddar and that the bananna is under ripe & sliced thinly, Its even nicer on a crispy baguette....... Yum

Could be ok on a granary bread but could also be really heavy. Bananas are hard work to digest and with bread and cheese it would be even harder.
