I make pita pizza.
Pita Pizza
Ingredients:
4 WHOLE WHEAT PITA BREADS
4 MEDIUM TOMATOES (A TOTAL OF 16 1/4-INCH SLICES)
1 1/2 CUPS PART-SKIM MOZZARELLA CHEESE (ABOUT 6 OZ.)
1/4 CUP PARMESAN CHEESE
1/4 CUP CHOPPED ONION
1/2 CUP SLICED MUSHROOMS
1/4 CUP CHOPPED GREEN BELL PEPPER
2 TSP. DRY OREGANO LEAVES
Method:
1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Separate pitas into 2 rounds by piercing around the circumference with the tines of a fork and gently prying apart. Place them on a baking sheet.
2: Cover each round of bread with 4 tomato slices, 2-3 tablespoons mozzarella, 1/2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, 1/4 teaspoon oregano, and vegetables.
3: Bake for 10 minutes.
Serves 4: Calories: 277
Protein: 19 g - 27%
Carbohydrate: 29 g - 42%
Fat: 9.7 g - 31%
I am sure you could use some turkey pepperoni, or some sauce if you prefer instead of the tomatoes.

Use whole wheat pizza crusts, which taste good, and if your not into a wheat thing, don't worry cause with toppings you can't really tell the difference.... a lot of topping options are low fat, such as a low sodium ham and pineapple, of course roasted vegetables, turkey sausage, grilled diced chicken, and turkey bacon, even crumbled lean ground pork that's seasoned well is better than pepperoni and italian sausage .... since it's generally the cheese and meat products that boost up calorie and fat levels, using a skim mozzarella in moderation should do also make a more healthy pizza!

Use as many fresh veggies as you can, lower fat cheeses and turkey bacon would be fine, though Canadian bacon is really one of the lowest fat meats that you can use. Tomato sauce is better than pizza sauce, though, again it depends on how thick you make it on the pizza. go light and you are fine! Olives are high in calories, though. Stick with zucchini, tomatoes, bell red and green peppers, mushrooms, meat if you choose--just limit heaping it all over the pizza, and you will be fine! A thin crust pizza is also a way to make it crispy and healthier.
Have fun!

Pizza is not an "unhealthy" food to begin with. You can easily have a full serving of all the food groups you require in a day with a couple of slices. Bread, dairy, veggie, and meat groups. You are expected to eat each of these at every meal anyway; right? Pizza is a very well rounded food stuff. Don't use low fat cheese, or substitute red meat with other tasteless toppings. If you do those things, you will end up with a product that won't compare to a real pie.
To be healthy, all you have to do with pizza is eat it in moderation.
Do not deny yourself the wonder that is pizza by destroying or deconstructing it.

Use a whole wheat or multigrain crust. Low fat mozzarella or any other low fat cheese that you like. Make your own sauce with crushed canned tomatoes, oregano and lots of garlic. Add tasty toppings like sun dried tomatoes or black olives. If you would like to add some meat, how about some chicken breast cut in strips.
Or make it a Mexican flavoured pizza. Use a fresh salsa in place of sauce. Then fry some ground turkey or chicken and season with cumin, chili powder, salt, pepper and a bit of cinnamon. Add about 1/2 cup of water to the mixture and simmer for about 10 mins or so. Top with low fat monteray jack or cheddar cheese.

I think you should allow yourself real pizza every once in a while. Pizza isn't supposed to be low fat.
Having said that, there are ways to cut back on the fat and calories ... and if you like veggies you're half way there!
First, I'd make personal sized pizzas. You'll save fat and calories there.
Using a tomato sauce is fine. The tomatoes are very good for you and it's better than a white or pesto sauce.
Then load up the veggies! I like to cook most of my veggies first because many of them release a lot of water and you don't want a soggy pizza.
Fresh mozarella is better than the "block" in the plastic wrap.
Enjoy!

You can make your own pizza crust. If you do not have the time or inclination to do so, use a prepared crust with less than two grams of fat per serving. To make individual pizzas at home, use fat-free flour tortillas lightly brushed with extra virgin olive oil. You can also spray the flour tortillas with an olive oil flavored nonstick spray. Tomato sauces can be home made or store bought. If you purchase one from the store, look for a sauce that contains less than 1.5 grams of fat per one-fourth cup serving. To make your pizza heart-healthy, you will need to use cheeses made with skim milk. You also can substitute light or non-fat cheeses in place of high fat cheeses. Try different herbs and spices as your topping. Fresh basil leaves placed on slices of fresh tomatoes sprinkled with Parmesan makes a delicious pizza topping. try a chicken pizza or fresh fruit pizza
