I appreciate that the A level grades required are a little different. Aside from that, which is the best one? Where will I meet the coolest people and people who want to concentrate on studying but also have a good time. I want to hear from people studying at both Medical Schools.

Nottingham:
Nottingham has a slightly better reputation in Medicine than London.
My friend from Nottingham said that because all first years tend to live on campus in Nott, they get to know everyone!! Whereas UCL students are scattered all over London, so u may not necessarily get to know the people on ur course very well.
Nottingham is much cheaper than London hence saving the pennies to buy more beer!!

London:
London probably will have better resources in terms of research for coursework etc.
London has a better partying scene, stating the obvious, but then that is also distraction and tempation away from studying.

You meet such a diversity of people at uni, so ur bound to meet cool people either way
Also consider how far away from home u wanna be

Nottingham has an undeservedly bad reputation at present. I would recommend it as it has a good teaching hospital, the student accommodation is generally quite good & there's some good night life. It's small enough for you to get to know the area well & the university campus is attractive. The cost of living is lower than in London.

I think that first decide on a school that has the best program in what you want to study. I think it is nice that you want to have cool friends and fun, but it is my understanding that you don't have much time. A Dr can graduate with a grade A education or a D and still be a Dr. but I want the A Dr to be mine!

I didn't study medicine; however ask yourself if you would prefer to live in the world's most exciting, cosmopolitan (albeit expensive) city or a place where the chief leisure pursuits appear to be fighting and shooting...
