One time I got with someone and my friends hated him so much that they wouldn't even talk to me. Is it a good idea to get with someone whom you like but your frinds hate him?

Are your friends dating the guy? No. maybe you should ask your friends that. Don't let your friends rule your feelings. It is good to take advice from your friends like if they think he's not a good guy or dangerous or something.... But. Just because they don't like him. Tell them to get over themselves, You don't go and tell them who they can and can't date. Tell 'em to grow up
Your REAL friends will be happy for you, not b*tch about who you're dating. But ask them why they "hate" him.

Well, if they are good friends, they are probably looking out for your best interest. Maybe they see something about him you don't see. Next time, I would find out why your friends hate him and maybe it will give you some perspective which direction to go. Good friends should always speak to you though.

well if you are really in love with this guy and your friends are really your friends then they should be happy for instead of hating you because it is your feelings and you would get hurt not being able to talk about your boyfriend i know that iwould want my friends to be happy for and i would be able to talk to someone if something goes wrong.

It all boils down to what you are feeling about this person and not everybody else. If you really like this person and want to get to know him better then it's all up to you. If you're friends are really your friends then they should understand your feelings. Go with what your heart tells you.

First get your friends input. WHY do they hate him. You are on the battlefield so you may not see what's up. If what they see is legit then pass on him. If u can convince them that he is okay, then go for it. good luck

Why do your friends "hate" him? Perhaps they know more about him than you do, or aren't blinded by infatuation.
Pay attention to why they feel as they do...then decide for yourself if he is someone you desire to spend time with.
It's your life, live it as you desire...but don't discount friends and family's opinions w/o giving them some consideration.

ok yes its not the best idea to get with someone your friends not really like BUT if they were your real friends they would accept your decision about things and still be friends despite who you are dating....

yes!!!!!!!!! real friends wouldnt care who you date they arent your real friends if they stop talking to you because your going out with someone who makes you happy real friends want to you to be happy not make you choose get some better friends who wount stop talking to your whan you date someone who they dont like your dating him not ur friends they should just stay out of it they're probebly just jalous that u were with someone and the werent

Ask your friends why they hate him. If there is no legitimate reasons then go with your heart and don't let your friends intimidate you
