I was with a man for about eight months... I needed a break (worst mistake of my life) lol .. and he understood some of it, but I know I hurt him..HE HAS forgave me. I have been wanting to get back with him for some time now.. we see each other at the kids sports and talk on the phone from time to time. When he sees me he comes up to me and talks normally. He seems like he wants to talk to me and now after telling him that I love him last week.. he still comes to me and talks and its really confusing me. He knows how I feel about him. I have told him I want things the way the were. So why doesnt he want more... Is he thinking about it.. going slow.. what??? I dont know if I should just stop talking to him, or act happy or what.

So you dropped the "L-bomb", huh? Well, if he hasn't responded yet then it may just be time that he needs. He doesn't want to have a repeat of the "break" you had before so I would imagine he is not that interested in what you feel - just yet. He probably needs time to be certain that you are sincere this time.
Don't rush it. That's the worst thing you could do. Be happy, for now, knowing that he still wants to keep talking and he hasn't backed off after you told him you love him.

Maybe you should just ask him to go out for coffee so you both can talk and then tell him how you feel maybe he just feels that you might still want a break , he is might be waitng for you to make a move because he is still hurt. The only way you will know is if you talk to him

you were with him before and told him you need a break maybe he just doesnt want the same thing to happend again so he just takes it slow but if you are tired of just friendship ask him to go to the movies its not saying anything to big but shows him that u want to be with with make the first move this time

it sounds like you really hurt this guy and he is just being cautious about getting back with you, maybe he is surveying the waters and see if he thinks this is what you really want and to see if this is going to be like last time when after he has his heart invested in it you want 'a break'
