It really depends on what breed of dog it is. Large breed femals, such as mastiffs and saint bernards can get up to 29 inches at the shoulder in hieght.
If you really have no clue as to what breed your dog is, a good indication of how large it will grow is paw size. the larger the paw, the bigger the dog will get.
