If he knows what is in our hearts and minds and knows what kind of people we are why does he find the need to use the devil to test us? Why does find the need to try and break our will, to get us to sin or not tp prove ourselves to him if he already knows what kind of person we are?

Because it's fun. Heaven just has to be boring sometimes.

God doesn't make us sin or even cause us to sin... God hates sin! It's the devil that causes and influences us to sin. And just because He knows what kind of person we are doesn't make us one with Him. We aren't trying to prove ourselves to God, we're trying to be one with Him. He prays for us to be one with Him in John 17:22. God isn't trying to break our will, the devil is...the devil temps, not God.

God tells us in 1 Peter 5:8 that we need to
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, is as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."
It's not God at all, It's all the devil.

People think God is like us... "what if god was one of us..."

That may answer many other questions but in this case, what I think needs to be understood is that God is not like us. It would be crazy if we made our kids suffer just to make them feel pain.

God has us go through a process. If I tell my boy to try to do 10 push ups when he is only able to do 5 and complains because it hurts. I won't force him to do more but I will encourage to do 6 then 7 and 8... knowing that after he gets more fit he can come hiking with me like he wants to.

God is nuturing us and developing us through trails and tribulation. He never hates us. He never tests us beyond what we can endure.

He knows everything- He knows how much we will enjoy the fruits of our labor.

"There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ"

Because god is not real and all those stories in the bible were written to control the uneducated population thousands of years ago. Incidently, that period in history is called the DARK AGES because all concepts of reality at the time were based on lies about an invisible skyfairy who tortures his son and followers for no other reason because he ("god") said so.

God doesn't just want us to obey Him....He wants our love, too. Sometimes the way to find this out is to test us.

People do the same thing to each other. Women will "test" the man they are considering for marriage to see if he is steadfast and true.

Remember, God never gives us a temptation we cannot conquer. His grace is sufficient.

It is all in your mind, there is no imaginary man testing you or anyone else. Spend some time with a science book.

He isn't the one trying, he doesn't tell Satan to do the things he does. God and Satan are NOT partners.

More to the point... Why would an all-knowing God care about your professing belief? He/She/It would know, no?
