Does anyone know how to drain a boil? What's the best idea? Any tips?

boils are bacterial infections (but its not like a zit). You can lance them, but be careful of the pus. Try using stronger antiseptics (ie iodine based too). My brother started getting them and had to take antibiotics for a month and the Dr said they would just keep coming back.

First off you need to make sure that the boil has come to a head. To do this apply a warm wash cloth to the boil until this occurs. Then do not squeeze the boil as it will cause swelling and it rarely works. To drain pull the skin apart like you would do to open a bag of chips. This should allow the boil to drain. if this does not work use a clean needle to puncture the head and then pull the skin apart to drain. good luck and keep the area clean.

Pop it like a zit. Get as much out of it as possible. Clean thoughly with a heavy duty acne cleanser containing salicylic acid. Clean affected area at least 2 times a day using salicylic acid cleaner.
Or go to doctor & have them lance & drain it.
Also, switching to an anitbacterial body wash or soap will help to keep them from reoccuring.

Dont risk getting an infeccion by draining it yourself , its better if you go to the doctor and let him do it. Take care of yourself bye

get a sharp stanley knife blade, burn it in a flame to sterilise it, then hold the boil to pressurise it to the surface, get the blade, grit your teeth and go for it (easier done after a bath - skin is weaker), expect lots of blood and puss then keep draining it by squeezing it, then let the air get to it
