Just as he said you would use human philosophy COL 2,3
None of you want touse the only book
that proves all truths JN 4:23
This is why there is so much division in Christiandom because many want to just go by what they feel and not trust the God who created us Rm 1:25
No high horse here MartinC I've given up my feelings for the truth that is written
Mk 12:30; Jn 8:31-32,33-44

Get off your high horse. Man, you throw Apostolic (Pentecostals) and Arians in that list? I was going to razz you about the Jehovah Witnesses.
When we confess one of the Historical Creeds we confess, "We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. "
How much more unified do we have to be? Or would you have all Christians be homogeneous and eradicate any differences among the us?

I am always skeptical when Christians say that all of Christianity has to be fashioned to their conception of what Christianity should be. Things like all of Christendom needs to be:
1. Persecuted like the 'true' Christians are in North Korea, China, East Africa and other countries, in order to separate the causal from the dedicated Christians.
2. Fostered under one of kind of political or even social system. Modern Evangelicals in the United States are guilty of this. In order for God to bless the United States, we must setup a government (akin to ancient Israel) in order to enter in our own covenant with God.
3. Has to be taken back to its 1st Century roots. The church (triumphant) is directly connected to its 1st century roots by maintaining the apostolic doctrine, apostolic ministry, and the apostolic scriptures. No amount of house churches, deconstruction of modern Christianity and restorationalism will get the church back on its mission. Its mission is simple, Preach the Gospel and Administer the Sacraments.

Born again into Life, Love, and Truth, of the Spirit of the Most Holy God, through the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, who is the Son of the Most High God, who is also the Everlasting Father, God come in the flesh.
Those born in such a way are to be as one, working together in the Will of God. Christ is not divided, but people come from all walks in life and are originally divided. If or when they grow in the Lord, they will put off their worldly differences and walk together in the Spirit of God.

I think you're focusing too much on the issue of demonination. Demoninations formed b/c of disagreements regarding specific beliefs - like infant baptism or speaking in tongues. True Christian denominations agree on the most important aspect of Christina faith--that Jesus died and rose again. THAT is what makes you a Christian--not your demonination.

Christ is not divided; but imperfect man certainly is. It comes from our own stupidity and flawed being, not from the Eternal Son.
