Hello, I hope someone out there can help me. I was given away at birth, due to some hardships. After 25+ years I finally located my parents. They are both United States Citizens. Unfortunately, I am still in a small island in asia. What can I do so I may be able to live with my blood parents? They became US citizens when I was no longer a minor. Thank you so much =)

Were you adopted by anyone after your birth parents gave your up? If so, your birth parents are legal strangers to you and cannot sponsor you for citizenship.

First you have to contact your parents and get them to "sponsor" you for a visa. They have to guarantee employment or schooling for you. Then you can come here legally. That does take alot of time though. If you want to do it quicker (and quasi-legally) then get a passport, come here to America on "vacation" and then apply for asylum from the country you are from. The US goverment while allow you to stay here in america while they investigate your claim. However if you can't prove you're being persecuted in your country of origin they'll probably send you back

Contact the U.S. embassy. They cshould be able to advise you best. It will probably be a long, complicated and expensive process.

It sounds like you are trying to scam some people into believing they are your parents so they will sponsor your greencard.

Good luck!
