that is where the majority of the entertainment business in the US is.....most production companies, studios, television/cable headquarters, agents, managers are based...nyc is another hot spot for these groups. more and more production is now being done in Canada and overseas due to low production costs.

None of those answers are right. Believe me. They live here because it's really ritzy and you have a lot of people here so they don't stand out as much. Beverly Hills is the host to many many many celebrities and it's because of their huge estates and very tight police force.
