She isn't sick, but is probably molting.

"A young cockatiel molts at about 6 month, at about a year, and then about once a year thereafter. The molt usually lasts between 4 and 6 weeks. Sometimes environmental conditions cause variations in the pattern of molting. Tiels kept in warm climates with little seasonal variation may have a subtle molt where they drop a few feathers at a time throughout the year. Birds in more temperate areas with more pronounced seasons usually have a more pronounced molt. Sometimes a molt doesn’t seem to go right. There are several diseases that affect feather growth and birds experiencing an abnormal molt should see the vet."

She may just be molting, new feathers should replace the ones she has lost. All birds molt..I have 4 birds and when they molt at the same time..what a mess ! Be sure you are giving her a good diet, seed, pelleted food, fresh veggies { as a rule they don't really eat fruit but you could always try }. Be sure she has a cuttle bone in her cage, birds don't need grit, or those sand paper covered perches. And how often do you let her bath ? I put my tiel in the kitchen sink and use the sprayer on a soft warm spray. When the new feather come in, you may see the silver/white covered shafts that the new feathers are in, since your bird is alone, you will have to help her open the shafts she can't reach { like on her head and neck , etc.} Gently use your fingernail to scrape the covering off these shafts, the bird may scream some but the new feathers are tender..Good Luck

If your VETERINARIAN said your bird is fine...
What are you worried about?

His/ her opinion is about as good as you can get.

On this forum, you are asking less than qualified people to answer a question you already have the answer to. So why waste anyone's time with the question to begin with???

Birds, like people losing their hair, do lose feathers now and then. I own 10 birds ranging from parakeets, to cockatiels to parrots. They all lose feathers now and then; and usually a couple of times a year, they molt. It's nothing to get upset about unless the feathers do not replace themselves.

But again, you said your VET said your bird is fine. Again, I ask, "What are you worried about?"

she could just be molting. younger birds sometimes do this twice a year. glad you took it to the vet.

She is molting. Keep her warm and quiet it's a stressful time.
