Yes. But both people have to want it that way.

Of coarse they can! I have plenty of male friends that are just that. Im a married woman and have no interest in any other man but him no matter how attractive others may be. I have run into a few situations where my guy friend got himself a new girl friend and SHE thought it was odd that we were friends and caused trouble in our friendship. However, I stand firm with my friends and tell them all that if it comes down to our friendship or their love to a woman who is not understanding, I would step aside so that my friend could be happy. I did this in one situation, my guy friend ended up getting married to the girl, and she called me some time after the wedding to apologize for her behavior. We are all great friends now.

Yes they can. Even if there is attraction there. Its all about maturity. My BEST friend is a woman who is a year younger than I. I've been VERY good friends with her now for about 6 years. I was in her wedding and was one of the first people she called after her son was born. She openly admits had I met her before she started dating her current husband that she and I would have been together. So it is possible, but there are boundries that must NOT be crossed.

Yes, believe me, when I feel that I see a woman and she feels like she is my sister, then I can really say she and I can be just friends. This has always been my barometer to measure how I feel about a woman when I meet her, become friends and think about what I feel about her, if it is only friendship or whether I see her as a possible emotional partner.

I could just be friends with other girls because im in a loving relationship but if the guy is not hes prolly your friend cause he likes you and most of the time he wont ever tell you. Just hoping that one day you might like him.

Yes, but it is the exception to the rule. I have two wonderful "girl friends". I love to go out with them and have fun and not have to worry about hookin up with them. If they asked me for sex, I would. All you women out there who say they have male "friends" would be surprised what the answer would be if they asked their "friends" for sex. Men have plenty of buddies and don't need platonic girlfriends.

i don't think so. i think guys and girls become friends only because someone is attracted to the other and won't fess up to it. someone else brought up the dreaded sex issue as well. i think men and women with friends of the opposite sex keep them on as options.

yes I'd say they could. I have a lot of "guy" friends that are nothing more then a friend. plus we don't want to risk loosing the friendship for a relationship.

I think it possible if you were friends for a long time. But if your talking a past boyfriend.. its impossible to me. I'm having that issue now.. I love him too much and I want him back . We are friends, but he gives me mixed signals. lol.. Good luck

Of course - most of my friends are guys. I think guys can except that, but girls seem to think it's really strange, like loads of girls assume that I wana get with all my guy friends, but that's jus stupid - guys are much less petty than girls and MUCH funnier, that's why I hang round with them lots
