My native language is Spanish, but I also speak English and German. Knowing more than one language really opens up so many opportunities, I'd recommend it to anyone.

I speak English (native language), Italian (second language), Spanish (third language), and French (fourth language). I advise you to also learn Italian. Especially coming for Spanish. It will be very easy for you to learn. Go to this site, click on the blue, and then choos the language of instruction that you want. http://www.italica.rai.it/lingua/corso.htm

I speak some "high school" Spanish, some key Italian phrases, enough to have a fine time in Italy, a few in French, just enough to be polite, some greetings, lovingly taught by Vietnamese friends, and several beautiful expressions from Jamaican patois, a lovely hybrid dialect and language. I love languages and would love the opportunity to live abroad and learn either or all the above. I think the key to learning a language is listening first with your ear and then with your heart.
