I have received 2 phone calls from Ford Motor Credit looking for a "Deadbeat" neighbor, who I do not know and she no longer lives on this street. They have also called me on another person in the neighborhood that no longer lives here. Ford repossed his van about a month ago. How do I get them to stop calling here for other people? I'm the only one that I know of that is getting these calls. Maybe I'm the only one that's answering the phone when they see "Ford Motor Credit" on the caller ID. I shouldn't have to put up with this. Does anyone have a suggestion other then not answering the phone? Thanks!

Have you asked Ford Motor Credit about this? Try their customer service number 1-800-727-7000 and ask for a manager.

I had this problem years ago when I got my first cellphone number. A credit collection agency was continually harassing me. The only problem was that they were calling for somebody that wasn't me! I finally, as calmly as I could, explained to the operator that she was calling a cellphone that didn't belong to the person she was looking for and that I'd appreciate it if she'd find the right number and never call mine again.

That worked.

Good luck!

Yes of Course !!! You just call them and tell them that you are getting every now and then calls from them which are not at all worthy of their company's status/reputation and that in case they call and trouble you further you are going to report the mater to the local police with a complaint of "public nuisance" and also inform them that their message has been recorded and kept for future usage, if required!!!

I've had the same thing happen to me lately and I have politlely told them that they have the wrong number and to stop calling and harassing me or I will report them to both the phone company and the Attorney General.

answer the phone and dont deny or verify your the person. just tell them that you will not pay them. tell them to do their worst. that will stop the calls. they will process the account to the next level which is either litigation / mark up credit report but its not you so either or... doesnt really matter.

Tell them to STOP calling ASAP, you have logged all the times they have called and if they continue to call you, you are going to report them.
