How do you word that you are having a buffet for the meal but if people are vegan please specify or tell me in advance.
I know for a fact we are inviting about 6-10 vegans so it's enough to ask but not enough to have it at the buffet. We actually don't know who is "vegan" who is just doesn't eat meat so I can't just call people. My cater is going to make them a small seperate vegan meal so I can still have the 3 main meals. How do I work this for the RSVP card?

Since you are including a seperate vegan meal you dont really need to ask if they are vegan on the response card. However, the correct way to word this would be:
-----------------------------------------------------
Buffet reception ("to follow" or "at

Do your RSVP cards like usual, and on the very bottom put:

Vegan or Vegetarian meals are available upon request.
Please indicate Vegan or Vegetarian, if desired ________

That should take care of it. If someone wants Vegetarian, they can eat Vegan, I'd only worry about having Vegan meals available (unless no Vegans request meals).

You don't state this on the reply card. The only time you mention a meal is if you are doing a sit down dinner and they need to pick an entree before hand.

I agree that you don't need to single them out, just include vegan items in buffet.

Just put everything out as the caterer normally does. They have experience with vegans at events, they know how to do it. Vegans themselves are used to looking after themselves and what they can eat at events, and different restaurants. As long as you have a selection of things they can eat they will be fine. It doesn't have to be food for just them, anyone can eat it, but it is something they can eat.

I wouldn't bother to ask... if you have that many vegans coming for sure just make sure the caterer has some items on the buffet that they can eat. It's not like the meat eaters are going to suffer any if they eat the vegan food too! It's healthy food.. it's good for them... serve a lot of it :)

buffet style lunch/dinner will be served with a optional vegan meal for those who request and then place vegan meal with a line for a check or a x

or if you are in need of a vegan meal please respond below and have a line with the word yes next to it so they can check or x by it!

I wouldn't put anything, if you have 6 people round up get meals for 12.

You really don't need to. Since it's a buffet, there will be plenty of food for them to eat and choices to have. Don't make it more complicated.
