First of all you won't lose your dogs.Take a deep breath. Get the other neighbor to sign a statement stating the neighbor who was bite was no where near your dogs.
Regarding who bit your neighbor will be hard to tell, have you seen the wound? Did your neighbor enter your enclosed yard? How did he get bit if your dogs were in their kennels?
I too raise Pitbulls I know how they can bite. Your neighbor could have broken up a fight between his dogs, got bit. And then when he went to the hospital they automatically call the police, he could of gotten scared and blamed it on your dogs. It will hard for him to prove, it was just your dog.
But then you have to think of it this way what if it really was your dog? Was it neglegence on the part of your neighbor for entering your yard? Or are you the one to blame?
Regardless of who is at fault you shouldn't be worried about losing your dogs.
But I am surprised about your neighbor, did he just want money for the bills? Did he ask you about your vet records? Did he contact the police? Most dogs are required to be quartined for about 10 days after biting someone. If your neighbor was only concerned with the money, I too would be wondering if he is telling the truth.
I wish we could talk more about this, feel free to IM or email me. I do Pitbull Rescue in Chicago, and I am also a breeder. It just strikes my curiousity that you were only approached about the hospital bill.

Also if you have a chance to see your neighbor's Pitbulls, look and see if they have any fresh wounds, and if they do take a piture of them. If his dogs have any fresh wounds , that could be an indication that he might have been bitten breaking up a fight between his own dogs. I strongly suggest you take a look at his dogs.

A vet may be able to tell the difference between a pit bull bite and a hybrid wolf bite based on size and shape. If your neighbor sues, a picture of the bite may disprove that it was your dog. Also, if another neighbor would testify that the guy who was bitten was no where near the dogs, it should be ok. If the dogs are in kennels, the man likely would have to be on your property or at least very close to the dogs in order to be bitten. That's likely his fault if he's that close to the kennels.

If your dogs are in kennels, how would they bite him? Just doesn't make any sense. I'd say he'd have to prove it was your dog that bit him and how did they get out of the kennel, unless he was on your property.

Wolf hybrids are gorgeous dogs, but face it, they are very nervous and quite prone to biting. You mix the power of the wolf with dog, which gives you a powerful creature without the fear of humans that wolves are born with. I love wolves, but I would never mix them with dogs, no matter how pretty they are. It's just wrong.

I would advise you to get as many facts as possible before you go to court, if you have people thet can testify that your dogs are good dogs ask them to go to court with you, and go to trial if you must, I also feel a litle misconception about pitbulls in your note and I like tolet you know you that not all pitbulls are bad, they're just very energetic and crazy and it all depends on how they get treated because I had a recent experience with my new dog that by the way its a pitbull, I adopte him about 6 months ago, he got out of the yard one night that me and my friend-roommate went to the store, the next day I found a note on my door from the animal control that I had to call them for morre info, so the agent came to my house and said that my dog had scrade a lady and her five year old daughter that were wlking their dog, I ended up going to court got a $187 fine had to purchase a $100 orange collar that tags my dog as a "dangarous" I was ordered to take the dog to obedience school $80 and a bunch of other things I was orderd to do that I did'nt hav to after all because I don't own my house. All of that for a scare? I regreted so very much not going to trial because my dog isn't a "dangerous" dog because if he was he would have kill the ladys dog. The system really went over board with me. Good luck I have to go.

You'll probably need to prove that the police were not called to your property and that the dogs were all kenneled and impossible for them to reach your neighbor unless he was tresspassing.
if a dog bites a person, this is not an automatic death sentance although you must be able to prove they've had rabies shots or the pound may take your dog and kill it to determine if it had rabies. If your dog is up to date on it's shots, then you're probably okay. The only issue is homeowners insurance will probably not renew you if you have a dog with a history of biting.

first of all in case you've managed your dogs this may by no potential have befell. 2d, certain, police are ideal to shoot a dogs that couldn't supply up attacking yet another dogs or man or woman. Did they shoot with the bean luggage or with bullets. You were also precise arrested for obstruction of governmental order once you refused to obey the order from the police to pass. perhaps in case you had moved none of this may have befell. by preserving the dogs you made it needed for them to shoot your dogs interior the chest/abdomen section it extremely is more suitable risky than the flank, it extremely is the position they regularly would use the bean luggage. It hurts, yet does no longer reason damage to significant organs at a fulfillment interior the chest/abdomen section would. It also tells that you probably did not take your dogs to a vet in many cases, in the different case the dogs would were taken to that vet somewhat of one on settlement with the police. i'm constructive your own vet would have finished the artwork first if he became made attentive to the situations and also you've been a good shopper who continually paid the invoice. pay interest on your lawyer, you've not any status to sue, you're the fellow who brought about only about all those occurrences.

In this instance your dogs were kenneled and it would be hid fault for trespassing onto your property. Personally I tell him he would have to prove beyond all others that it was your dogs that bit him. His word is nothing seeing that he was not supposed to be there in the first place.
Just tell him to pay his own hospital bills and that you'll see him court, he seems like a low life looking for something he doesn't deserve.

Be careful he may just be trying to get rid of your dogs. Every time he comes over document it. . Keep an eye out if the guy is tormenting your dogs over the fence. He may be finding a way out because his dogs bit him and if that is the case he does not want his dogs to get in trouble so he is taking it out on your dogs so he has to find a scape goat and blame it on your dogs. Just be careful and just check out with other people how this person is and document what they say so you can have it on record incase he takes you further on this. Documention is always good . Don't let people know that you are documenting him incase it gets out.

Your neighbor is full of crap. The other neighbor told you that he wasn't near your dog's He would have had to stick his arm in a kennel to get bit. You have no liability if someone is that stupid. He caused his own injury. The other neighbor shuts the door on his claim.

First get a written statement from the neighbour that says he was no where near your dogs. You have an eye witness, that is great.

Also, if your dogs were in kennels, then he would be trespassing, so it couldn't hold up.

I doubt you will lose your dogs. Good luck!
