The Air Force reminded me of a French Poodle. The poodle always looks perfect...sometimes a bit pampered and always travels first class. But don't ever forget that the poodle was bred as a hunting dog and in a fight it's very dangerous.

The Army is kind of like a St. Bernard. It's big and heavy and sometimes seems a bit clumsy. But it's very powerful and has lots of stamina. So you want it for the long haul.

The Navy, God bless us, is a Golden Retriever. They're good natured and great around the house. The kids love 'em. Sometimes their hair is a bit long....they go wandering off for long periods of time, and they love water.

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat.

First of all, there are only three branches, the Marines are a Corp and they belong to the Navy. Now, as far as history, the marines don't even come close to the Army. Now, pride, both the Army and Marines members take pride of being part of their units, the Navy and Air Force either don't have many people or they are embarrassed to claim being part of them. I will give credit where credit is due and there are some old geezers that served during WWII in the Navy and they are proud of their service but look around and see if you see anybody in their late 40's walking around saying that they are proud of being semen or wingnuts. Without a question, Army, over 231 years of service and been there in every single fight, nobody else can claim that.

Marines, hands down.

Tradition, pride, honor, and blief in those that serve with you.

The Few. The Proud. The Marines.

All kidding aside, I truly believe that the Marines are tasked with more missions and more duties than any other branch. The are the first to fight, and are now becoming a sustainment force. They do the most with the least.

But, the bottomline is this. We have all branches because we need them. (Not everyone can be a Marine!)

Depends on mission.Todays military is a more cohesive fighting force, the Commanders call in whichever branch is best suited to accomplish their task.I personally prefer Air Force but thats just my bias. If I were fall into enemy hands the sight of Navy Seals,Army Rangers or any Marine unit would be most welcome too!

Most definitely the Navy; no Navy, no Marines.

I got a joke; an air force general, an army general and a navy admiral are standing on a pier near a destroyer. They're arguing
about who's tougher; army, navy or air force. Finally the army general says to a soldier on the ship, "hey soldier, jump off that ship". The soldier says "yes sir" and jumps off. The air force general said "hey pilot, jump off that ship headfirst". The pilot said "yes sir" and jumped off headfirst. The Admiral said "you call that brave, watch this" "hey sailor jump off that ship" The sailor comes down and says "screw you sir" All the men are like "now that guy's brave"

United State Air Force. The best trained branch of the military.

Navy. They can operate on sea, in the air with carriers(mobile runways) and on land with the SEALS. Plus, if it wasn't for the Navy, the marines would be walking everywhere and trying to patch their own wounds.

without question, the air force. better housing, way more laid back. they got paid extra to live with the army in iraq, because the conditions were so "substandard," or at least that was the rumor.the army sucks and i'm sure the marines is worse, and who wants to live out at sea? i think the choice is easy.
